What type of customers does ATC support?
Our services are available to licensed auto dealers, fleet management companies, financial institutions, and automotive SaaS companies that process in-state and out-of-state titles and registrations. We do not currently offer services for individuals. We also offer comprehensive data products (full-service API and self- service) to assist customers with comprehensive data needs to provide services to the automotive industry.
Where are ATC’s services available?
Our services are currently available anywhere in the United States.
Which types of vehicles are covered by ATC’s services?
We provide services for vehicles registered through a DMV, including passenger cars, light trucks, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, cab and chassis, and RVs. At this time, we do not process title and registration for 18-wheelers or boats.
Does ATC provide services for leased vehicles?
Yes, we provide services for both leased and purchased vehicles.
How often is ATC’s data updated?
We authenticate our data daily. Each day, our staff works with DMVs, tax services, and local title services to ensure that our data is up to date and accurate. As the volume leader in processing out-of-state transactions, our data is the most current and accurate in the industry.
Does ATC guarantee the quality of its work?
Yes, we guarantee that the title is accurate and done correctly, the lien is perfected, and the buyer information is complete. In the rare case that either the DMV or ATC makes an error, we will resolve it at our cost.
Does ATC process title and registration at the same time?
Yes. Many states require both title and registration to be processed at the same time even though the documentation required for each is unique.
How detailed and accurate is the “how to” information in your Dealer Portal?
The information in ATC’s Dealer Portal is highly accurate and results are tailored to your specific transaction.. We account for many variables based on your query, including state, county, city, transaction type (lease or purchase), vehicle weight and type, and type of license plate required.
How are taxes and fees calculated?
Taxes and fees are based on municipalities' jurisdictions. We follow the state, county, and city borders to ensure accuracy. Our calculations are not based on zip code. While our API has a zip code decoder, zip code boundaries may not follow jurisdictional borders, which could lead to a less accurate quote.
